High birds in Spain

12/04/2007 - Adam Bromfield reports from Spain

Despite the threat of Avian flu at the start of the season, Spain enjoyed a fantastic 2006-7.
Rain is not usually welcomed on overseas trips but Spain's autumn and winter rains produce wonderfully lush terrain that is excellent for partridges.

We have been working closely with one of our estates near Madrid who have developed some stunning new high bird drives on previously untapped land. The owner has been over to the UK to experience some of the high partridge shoots here and is eager to emulate these back in Spain.

All of our estates have performed well this season. The new lodge at La Nava opened at the beginning of the season to rave reviews, with both wet and dry saunas, a hot tub, swimming pool, massage rooms and a gym, not to mention beautifully appointed bedrooms and large drawing rooms. Viewing the sun set over the Sierra Nevada mountains is perfected by the covered terrace sitting area.

We are able to offer driven partridges in Spain from September to March according to differing seasons in each province. Please contact us for further details.
