For the first time in many years we have deposit paid fishing available in two peak weeks on the Varzuga. We can also offer some superb discounts on rods that have historically been impossible to access.

The Varzuga is arguably the most productive Atlantic salmon river in the world with a long term average of 35 fish landed per rod per week. However, it would be wrong to entirely focus on just the catch statistics as the overall experience is something that has to be seen to be understood.

Many people think that Russian salmon fishing is easy given the extraordinary catch statistics but that is not the case. Persistence, skill and changing tactics are all required to make the most of a week but with the amount of salmon in the river you can fish with anticipation rather than blind hope.
