There is something for everyone in New Zealand from fly fishing secluded and private waters to wine tasting in the world famous Hawkes Bay, cultural tours to Maori villages or adrenalin escapades on land or sea.
New Zealand offers some of the finest large trout fishing to be found anywhere plus a wide range of activities to suit all tastes.
A shining environmental showcase for the world; there are an infinite number of reasons to visit New Zealand's pristine shores. Awe-inspiring scenery, mountain ranges, rivers, streams, lakes, beautiful beaches and endless wide open spaces mean that you will be instantly charmed by its beauty and the friendliness of its people.
Laced with freestone rivers and speckled with clean freshwater lakes the legendary trophy sized trout are to be found cruising in deep pools, riding fast, shallow riffles or lurking beneath the shade of tree lined banks. The quarry is primarily rainbow and brown trout, caught in rivers easily accessed by foot, car or helicopter. Wild, strong and wary fish, taken with delicately presented flies fished on light five or six weight rods and floating lines. In the summer months the cool waters are home to clouds of mayfly hatches, causing the trout to feed aggressively on the surface, rising enthusiastically to dry fly patterns as they pile on weight to take them through the leaner winter period.
New Zealand offers an extraordinary environment across both the North and South Islands, ranging from rainforest to bare volcanic regions, rugged and harsh coastlines to glacial fed lakes and green plains merging into forests teeming with wildlife. The coastal waters are ideal for bathing and provide the perfect environment for activities such as sailing, diving, surfing and swimming with dolphins. Seasonal runs of marlin, swordfish and tuna provide exciting bluewater fishing in the Bay of Islands and the Bay of Plenty.
