Umba - our first rods report

Umba - our first rods report

With just two rods in our opening week on the Umba we were looking forward to hearing how they got on.  Quite well was the answer...

They landed 13 fish between them up to 18lbs and lost plenty of others.  The weather was very poor for most of the week and heavy rain gave them a rising river for the latter part.

Bill Drury reported excellent guides, delicious food and a very happy camp.  Sadly the rain has continued and it continues to rise and our 10 rods this week have so far landed 7 fish in their first one and half days.  5 of those fish have had sea lice on them so it appears as if the main Autumn run is just beginning.

After an opening week of just two rods we are full for the rest of the season and will look forward to bringing you more news.
