14/01/10 - Why you must have Adverse Weather Cancellation Insurance?
The past few weeks have been extremely problematic for guns and estates due to the heavy snowfall and subsequent fog. We have heard many sad tales of days being lost and guns losing out financially. Although it is always disappointing not to be able to shoot, our clients who have elected to insure themselves have at least been reimbursed for their days through our favourable adverse weather policy. Do contact us for further information.

24/09/09 - Fathers and Sons
Over the years we have arranged several very successful 'Father and Son' shoots, both here in England and also in Argentina (see one Argentina report below). We are organising two similar events next year, a day's simulated clay shooting on 16 July 2010 and a week from 23 to 27 July 2010 in a private lodge in Cordoba, Argentina. Sample itinerary. Please email us to find out more about either or to reserve a place. What a great way to encourage good A level or GCSE results!
24/09/09 - Great Argentina Offer
Argentina still offers the best valued shooting in the world and after many years of researching the best dove, duck, perdiz and pigeon lodges in Argentina, we now feel we have an unrivalled knowledge of where to shoot. It also now costs you no more to book with us than booking directly, removing any hassle factor and allowing you to be happy everything is being organised for you...
24/09/09 - The shooting season so far
After a busy summer hosting trips in South Africa, Argentina and on our simulated game shoot in Wiltshire, we are now fully into our UK season. The grouse has been varied but we've still had some great days in northern England and are delighted to report a serious uplift on many moors in the central Highlands...
24/09/2009 - Tim Carter reports on his 21st birthday trip to Argentina
We stayed at La Portenita, a beautiful lodge with excellent accommodation and food, and shooting started straight after the glass of champagne that the butler had waiting for us. First, we met our professional and extremely helpful "bird boys" and then we drove off into the field where a hide had been prepared. These hides are very comfortable with two revolving stools, one of which is a cooler full of cold drinks...

03/04/09 - John Duncan discusses the season ahead
There has obviously been a lot of talk about next season and whether or not people are booking their days. So far we have seen good demand from our US and European clients due to the current exchange rates, but there has definitely been a reduction in demand from UK based clients...

10/02/2009 - John Duncan reports on the UK season at its close
The 2008-09 shooting season was another hugely successful one, despite the worldwide gloom that cast a large shadow over much of the year. Many grouse moors recorded bumper bags and some owners are very optimistic about next season, due largely to low worm counts and the fact that they feel they got their management right. The current snow falls following a hard winter should help this optimism lead to another fruitful season...

12/02/2008 - Dan Reynolds reports on the end of the shooting season
The end of the season always comes with mixed feelings and while it is always a relief for us and our estates to get to the 'finish line', there is now no tangible break between the end of one season and the planning of the next. Such is the popularity of shooting these days, clearly illustrated by the recent PACEC report, that many of our clients want to fix their entire shooting diaries well before the leaves start to appear and summer is upon us...
