We are constantly being told that the world is getting smaller and smaller and it is portrayed as a bad thing. For our purposes, however, it is not necessarily the case. Our ancestors were essentially limited to catching the fish that were within small travelling distances but now you can catch brown trout on a Monday followed by bonefish on a Tuesday - in our mind that has to be a good thing!

The range of species that is available to the travelling angler is simply phenomenal and it is the differences in the fish that we all enjoy. Leaping, gill-rattling tarpon in Cuba, the pluck of a salmon take in Russia, the sipping of a rainbow trout in Patagonia are all experiences that are never forgotten and once tried simply have to be repeated.
