John Duncan

John Duncan - Director of Shooting

John joined Roxtons in 1996 having graduated from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. He was born in the town of Dumfries, south-west Scotland and was brought up on his family estate with a fishing rod in one hand and shotgun in the other. This is where his passion for bird shooting developed. John has been Director of Shooting since December 2002 and he joined the board of Roxtons in 2007. During his time at Roxtons, he has hosted shooting parties on estates all over the UK as well as Hungary, Spain, Kenya, South Africa and Argentina gaining a vast knowledge of all shooting opportunities around the world.


Dan Reynolds - Shooting Consultant

Dan joined Roxtons back in 1990 after working in Agriculture and Property. Born in Salisbury, Dan continued to live in Wiltshire for most of his life until moving to Exmoor some 15 years ago, where he now has a satellite office in the middle of the fabled Miltons Shoot which he manages together with the up and coming Wellshead Estate, also on Exmoor. As well as having a thorough knowledge of shoots in the UK, he has travelled to many countries with clients including South Africa, Botswana, Morocco, Ireland, Spain, Hungary, USA, Sweden, Russia, Norway and Argentina. When he's not out shooting, he can be found salmon fishing, stalking or spending time with his family.


Adam Bromfield - Shooting Consultant

Adam joined Roxtons in 2002, having spent nine years working for Holland & Holland both in London and New York. Also a graduate from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, he was born and bred in Hong Kong and was schooled in the UK. He is passionate about the countryside, fishing, shooting and stalking. Adam travels extensively within Europe and Southern Africa and leads on our shooting trips in Spain, Morocco, South America and Africa together with our very successful South African Rovos Rail Train Shoots. He has a wealth of experience of bird shooting around the world and has hosted shooting parties on estates throughout the UK as well as in Spain, South Africa, Morocco, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Uruguay & Argentina.


Mathew Latchford

Mathew Latchford - Shooting Consultant

We are delighted to announce that Mathew Latchford has joined us at Roxtons from another Sporting Agency. He has spent much of his time in the last few years in Yorkshire where his skills have been honed working on some of the most prestigious Northern shoots. Mathew also has extensive experience of the grouse moors of Yorkshire and Scotland and has expertise in shoot management in the UK on both grouse moors and established pheasant shoots. His passion for country sports has been evident all his life having worked with packs of foxhounds in the West Country for four years before moving to the shooting business in 2005.

Mathew is also a qualified APSI shooting instructor and offers instruction to clients in the field if required. Having spent time studying shooting techniques, eye dominance and gun fit he is able to provide valuable advice to hit the highest of birds.


James Dent

James Dent - Shooting and Fishing Consultant

James was brought up on the River Test in Hampshire and has an in depth knowledge of fly fishing, deer stalking and bird shooting. Having qualified in Arboriculture, James worked for a number of years in the Forestry sector before spending three years helping to set up a small sporting agency specialising in shooting and fishing holidays in Iceland and in the UK. Since joining Roxtons in April 2006 James has worked with sporting estates the length and breadth of the country gaining a full knowledge of the UK sporting market. James' real area of expertise is Scotland, where he has fished, shot and stalked on many of the great estates and as such is well placed for advising clients on trips to this part of the world.


John Russell - Consultant

John has been involved with Roxtons since 1983 when he ran Orvis from the Wallops in Hampshire. He makes a days fishing very special with his unique passion for dry fly fishing and fascination with stream tactics. He has created great corporate days on our hallowed southern chalkstreams which include lunch, ghillies and tackle if required. John and his seasoned team of instructor guides will enhance any normal fishing day be it private or corporate, for novice or experienced anglers. In the shooting season he hosts many days all over the UK and in Spain. He is a keen shot himself and also works springer spaniels.


Camilla Mason - Shooting Co-ordinator

Camilla started with Roxtons in 2005 with very little knowledge of shooting, but lots of experience in organising events for high profile people, which set her in good stead. She looks after parties shooting in the UK, whilst also running the Roxtons Roving Syndicate. Needless to say her knowledge of shooting has now improved and she is learning how to shoot herself having completed the 'Green Feathers' course at the Holland and Holland Shooting Grounds.


Jo Wiggan - Shooting Co-ordinator

Jo returned to Roxtons in 2011 as one of our Shooting Co-ordinators after a four year sabbatical working as Events Organiser for the Countryside Alliance. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge from her shooting background and the previous four years spent working with the Roxtons team. Her links with Roxtons remained strong during her time at the Alliance and she returns with her organisational skills finely tuned. Among the many fundraising events and projects she organised, the highlight while at the Alliance was summiting Mount Kilimanjaro with a team of 30 fundraisers. Jo's new role includes co-ordinating the extensive shooting programme at the legendary 90,000 acre Duke of Buccleuch's Queensberry Estate in Dumfriesshire.


Charlotte Paterson - Shooting Co-ordinator

Charlotte has been involved with Roxtons since 2003 after graduating from Newcastle University with a degree in English Literature. She took on a new role within the company, joining the shooting department at the start of the 2007/8 season and hopes to see through many more seasons. Charlotte co-ordinates shoot days in the UK.

 


Lynsey Mair - Shooting and Fishing Co-ordinator

After several years in the telecommunications industry, Lynsey is now responsible for arranging all the documents required by visitors coming to shoot in the UK. She is also in charge of our Russian fishing administration and looks after our Scottish and Irish programmes. Lynsey's knowledge of the visas and shooting permits systems and her attention to detail is second to none.


Hannah Treliving - Fishing and Shooting Co-ordinator

Hannah joined Roxtons after working in events and marketing in London and then sales in Bristol. A country girl at heart, she was brought up on a farm in Kent and has spent many a holiday cooking for shooting parties in England and Scotland. Having now renounced city life, her friendly manner and love of country pursuits has led her to her role of Fishing and Shooting Co-ordinator, and she looks forward to learning more about her field of work as her career progresses. Hannah has taken on the administration for the Norwegian and Argentinian fishing programmes. She also assists with the running of the days on the southern Chalkstreams and our worldwide shooting trips.
