One of the Small Hotels of the World, Hemingways is an iconic hotel that specialises in bluewater fishing and excellent service.
It is a place that can be enjoyed by those with no interest in fishing just as much as the very keen fisherman determined to land that marlin of a lifetime.
Hemingways is one of the best hotels in the world to base yourself if targeting marlin and sailfish. It primarily offers conventional fishing with stand up tackle and fighting chairs but fly fishing is becoming increasingly popular.
Sailfish and marlin will be the main species targeted, depending on the time of year but tuna, wahoo, kingfish, dorado etc are available throughout the year.
Accommodation
All of Hemingways’ 74 rooms are extremely comfortable, offer views of the ocean and have air conditioning throughout. There are a range of rooms from standard, which have a double or twin bed and ensuite bathroom with a balcony to the very well appointed executive suites which offer an exceptional amount of space and level of comfort.
The hotel has two swimming pools, a main dining room where breakfast and dinner is served, a very lively bar and an excellent gym and treatment centre.
The food is excellent throughout and they are very happy to prepare any fish you may have caught in the evening for you (except the bill fish of course as they operate a strict catch and release policy for any bill fish).
