Kamalame Cove & Cay, Bahamas
This is a real castaway’s dream, Kamalame is a tropical paradise for people who wish to get away from it all and fish in the Bahamas without sacrificing style or luxury.
Kamalame Cove & Cay are two idyllic and exclusive retreats located on a 96 acre private island on Andros.
Offering faultless comfort, immaculate service, gourmet cuisine, spectacular diving and snorkelling. Bonefishing on the Andros flats is world renowned for both the size and abundance of the species.
Andros Island is home to world-class bonefishing and Kamalame is fortunate to be able to offer two distinct fisheries.
Seasoned guides using Maverick flats skiffs with poling platforms will meet anglers each day either at the cay to fish the local waters or at the north end of Andros to fish The Joulters. Full or half-day guided trips are available (full-day only for The Joulters). Both experienced and novice fishermen are encouraged to enjoy the expansive flats and the challenge of stalking the elusive bonefish.
If you favour a more relaxed pace or if you just can’t stop fishing at the end of the day, wander on your own and wade Davis Creek’s sweeping flat just a short distance from the backdoor of your villa.
Accommodation
Kamalame Cay is an exclusive hotel separated from Andros by a narrow inlet, with individual cottages and villa suites with oversized baths and showers.
The heart of Kamalame Cay is the art and antique filled Great House, its wrap-around veranda and freshwater swimming pool. Seaside gardens and three miles of empty beach beckon the romantic. For the ardent fishing enthusiast rooms overlook the marina, providing convenient access to the skiffs.
