About Chile
“Chile” in the language of the indigenous people means, “where the world ends”. This is an apt description when you consider that the country stretches farther south than any other land mass in the world besides Antarctica.
Chile is renowned for it’s crystal clear rivers and wonderful free rising wild brown and rainbow trout. The fly fishing possibilities in Chile are as diverse as the rivers themselves, with wonderful dry fly fishing in the Patagonia region as well as the chance to catch a range of species in the coastal waters.
Such is the lure of the fishing in Chilean Patagonia, that the majority of those who plan a once in a lifetime holiday to the crystal clear Andean waters invariably make time for another visit as soon as they can.
