Blackwater - Ballyvolane House, Ireland
Ballyvolane House is one of the most splendid private houses in Ireland and offers fantastic fishing on the wonderful river Blackwater for small groups or couples.
The Cork Blackwater is one of Ireland’s finest salmon rivers, stretching over 90 miles from its source in Kerry to the sea at Youghal. Due to the size of its catchment area the Blackwater maintains a good flow of water all season, so fishing is possible in a wide range of weather conditions.
Ballyvolane has over six miles of privately-managed salmon fishing on this renowned river, with a wide variety of spring and summer beats to keep anglers entertained at most times of year. The beats are particularly productive and varied, with splendid pools and runs which the Blackwater is famous for. Each beat is well suited to two or three rods per day and there is ample water to keep all rods busy during the day.
Ballyvolane House and salmon fishery is perfect for small groups or couples and those wishing to combine a holiday with some wonderful fly fishing.
