The Atlantic Salmon Trust recently launched the Salmon Club at an evening drinks party at the Westminster Boating Base in London. The Salmon Club is predominantly aimed at the under 45s. The main goal is to support the Atlantic Salmon Trust by creating an extensive community with a strong online presence that will fuel a passion and enthusiasm for the protection of wild Atlantic salmon.

2018-19 Season Review

We don’t think we could say that the 2018-19 season was a classic! It’s been well documented that the detrimental effects that the ‘Beast from the East’ and the dry summer had on grouse numbers although early concerns about cover crops not growing due to the dry weather, were unfounded.

Whilst the early pheasant days were a success, many shoots struggled to hold onto their birds due to the mild and bright weather and an abundance of wild food...

TDF Fishing Report for La Villa de Maria Behety and Estancia Maria Behety Lodge 16th to 23rd February 2019

Another great week on the Rio Grande has ended. Fishing was jolly good with an amazing number of bigger fish landed.  At Maria Behety Lodge a mixed team from the United States, United kingdom and Denmark caught 165 fish with 54 over 15 pounds and a staggering 9 over 20 pounds. At La Villa de Maria Behety the 6 rods caught 82 fish with 25 over 15 pounds and 4 over 20 pounds. The upper river is getting better but most of the fish are in the middle river.
