Everything was great , we were well looked after by all the staff the place was very clean, decent food and plentiful really the could not do enough for you, guides were excellent and very knowlagable it was a real bonus being in the jungle as there was soo much going on and soo much to look out for

Roxtons are excited to announce that the rights to the Yokanga river are under new ownership. Please read below a statement from Alexey Strulistov, whose passion for fly fishing and desire to invest in and protect the Yokanga river will ensure it reaches new heights over the coming seasons.

A new level of luxury in Jardine de la Reina
It has been an initiative of Avalon over the last decade to ensure the comfort of their guests and the luxury of the experiences in Jardines de la Reina by continually upgrading their yachts. In 2019, they released the Jardines Avalon III at 160 feet with the most updated amenities and highest level of comfort with 15 cabins and an incredible cruising ability. This vessel has set the standard for their newest project to be released in August of 2020, the NEW TORTUGA.

We are delighted to announce that the prime fishing season of the East Ranga river is now exclusively to be marketed by Roxtons.

The East Ranga Lodge and rods were purchased from Lax-a in summer 2019 by friends of both Roxtons and Lax-a.  Subsequently a further agreement was made with the East Ranga river owners to ensure that all rods from 1 July – 3 September were secured (i.e. the entire prime fishing on this very productive river.)

Dorado fishing in the jungle?  For years I have been hearing about the extraordinary fishing that was being reported from Bolivia but I could never get very excited about it. 

Too hot, too humid, too far, too full of bugs and given the videos I had seen, I thought that the fishing might be a bit easy.

Not for the first time, as my children constantly point out, I could not have been more wrong.

The 2019 season on the Varzuga will go down in the books as one of our better ones. The final overall numbers make impressive reading with 152 clients landing over 6,500 fish in a 6 week period.  It worked out at an average of just over 44 fish per rod per week – superb fishing by any measure.

The fishing season is currently underway at all four of our camps on the Varzuga system. The run of salmon appears to be very solid and the fishing season has gone very well so far...

The Atlantic Salmon Trust recently launched the Salmon Club at an evening drinks party at the Westminster Boating Base in London. The Salmon Club is predominantly aimed at the under 45s. The main goal is to support the Atlantic Salmon Trust by creating an extensive community with a strong online presence that will fuel a passion and enthusiasm for the protection of wild Atlantic salmon.
