Salmon School, Migrating Towards COP26

by Roxtons

This proposal is made by the Atlantic Salmon Trust representing The Missing Salmon Alliance, and other leading wild salmon conservation organisations from around the world who have joined forces to bring an inspirational artwork to COP26. The proposal is endorsed by over 30 groups from around the world, from local communities through to national bodies and international organisations, brought together to support salmon around the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.

Salmon School will creatively and dramatically promote one of the UK Presidency’s campaign themes ‘Nature based solutions – to safeguard and restore natural habitats and ecosystems to preserve the planet’s biodiversity.’ Representing a keystone species upon which ecosystems and communities depend, the Salmon School project will galvanise global action to save species everywhere that are threatened with extinction. It will help foster common evidence-based approaches worldwide to safeguard species being driven to the brink by the twin threats of climate change and habitat loss.
