Fly-in Shooting Safari, South Africa

A wonderful opportunity to explore the fantastic variety of wild bird shooting in South Africa.

Following the success of our train shoot safaris we have developed fly-in shooting safaris for groups of four to five guns travelling by plane rather than train.

The areas that we can access are far greater and more varied by plane, allowing us to explore more of the fantastic wild bird shooting available in South Africa. Guns will be able to experience walked up partridge and francolin shooting, driven guinea fowl, flighted sandgrouse, dove, pigeon, duck and goose in the best areas for the individual species.

The safaris will be based on four to five guns for seven days, the parties shooting all or part of each day including the day of arrival and day of departure.

General information

Licence requirements: Roxtons will supply all of the necessary forms which will need to be completed in advance of travel. The licenses will be issued prior to departure and will either be sent to the gun or will be presented to them on arrival in Johannesburg.

Insurance requirements: We advise you to check with your insurance provider to ensure that you are covered for all the activities that you are likely to be taking part in.
