Simulated Game Shooting at Hilldrop, England
The perfect way to entertain guests and clients or keep your eye in for the season ahead.
The Roxtons Simulated Game Shoot is based on the Hilldrop Estate near the village of Ramsbury in Wiltshire, 15 minutes from Junction 14 of the M4. Set in the stunning rolling countryside of the Marlborough Downs, the estate's topography lends itself perfectly to game shooting and therefore provides the ideal setting for simulated game as well.
We have developed the shoot over the last ten years and are confident that we have created an experience with character and humour, which will prove an exciting challenge to 'sharp shooters' and novices alike - in short, a unique event.
Designed for up to 18 people, the more guns you have the cheaper the day is on a cost per gun basis. We can also arrange the day to suit both experienced and inexperienced guns so that everyone can enjoy the day. For those who haven't shot before, instructors are readily available.
It is extraordinary how much fun guns have poaching their next door neighbours' birds and competitive team banter and leg-pulling is a vital ingredient of the day. What makes this totally different from any other simulated game day is that it is more than just providing driven birds. Whilst there are traditional driven drives for partridge, pheasant and grouse, it is the unique wildfowl and vermin, flashing woodcock, snipe and infamous 'gnats' (pyrotechnic aeroplanes) that tend to generate the most excitement.
Our days take place between 1st March and 1st August.
