El Crespo, Spain
A fantastic variety of drives with superb partridge shooting, a wonderful house with fine cuisine and gracious hosts.
This must be one of Spain’s best kept shooting secrets. Although well known in Spain, El Crespo is one of those estates which is delightful in its modesty. Situated close to the town of Villanueva de Los Infantes in La Mancha, El Crespo spans some 20,000 hectares in total. The shooting takes place on the most ideal 8,000 hectares of typical La Mancha partridge ground with some beautiful valleys reminiscent of English parkland. The topography is varied, and this reflects in the variety of drives, which will test the best of shots.
Mamel Landaluce and his son-in-law Pedro de Borbon run a wonderfully relaxed shoot with excellent partridges and their attention to detail is second to none. Mamel is well known in the shooting fraternity in Spain and brings 50 years of experience to the operation.
The estate house, home to Mamel and his family, is situated in the middle of the estate. The house has the most fantastic huge vistas, spanning to the horizon. The main house has 12 double en-suite bedrooms, three extremely comfortable living rooms and a large dining room with plenty of room to accommodate a large shooting party. The whole house lives and breathes hunting and shooting with an amazing display of trophies and shooting memorabilia.
