John Duncan
Director of Shooting
John joined Roxtons in 1996 having graduated from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. He was born and bred in Scotland where he learnt to fish and shoot from an early age.
John has been Director of Shooting since December 2002 and he joined the board of Roxtons in 2007.During his time at Roxtons, he has hosted shooting parties on estates all over the UK as well as Hungary, Spain, Kenya, South Africa and Argentina gaining a vast knowledge of all shooting opportunities around the world.
Dan Reynolds
Shooting Consultant
Dan joined Roxtons back in 1990 after working in agriculture and property. Born in Salisbury, Dan continued to live in Wiltshire for most of his life until moving to Exmoor some 24 years ago, where he now has a satellite office in the middle of the many of the best shooting estates that the West Country has to offer.
As well as having a thorough knowledge of shoots in the UK, he has travelled to many countries with clients including South Africa, Botswana, Morocco, Ireland, Spain, Hungary, USA, Sweden, Russia, Norway and Argentina.When he's not out shooting, he can be found salmon fishing, stalking or spending time with his children.
Adam Bromfield
Shooting Consultant
Adam joined Roxtons in 2002, having spent nine years working for Holland & Holland both in London and New York. Also a graduate from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, he was born and bred in Hong Kong and was schooled in the UK.
He is passionate about the countryside, fishing, shooting and stalking. Adam travels extensively within Europe and Southern Africa and leads on our shooting trips in Spain, Morocco, South America and Africa together with our very successful South African Rovos Rail Train Shoots.He has a wealth of experience of bird shooting around the world and has hosted shooting parties on estates throughout the UK as well as in Spain, South Africa, Morocco, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Uruguay and Argentina.
James Dent
Shooting Consultant
James was brought up on the River Test in Hampshire and has an in depth knowledge of fly fishing, deer stalking and bird shooting.
Having qualified in Arboriculture, James worked for a number of years in the Forestry sector before spending three years helping to set up a small sporting agency specialising in shooting and fishing holidays in Iceland and in the UK.Since joining Roxtons in April 2006 James has worked with sporting estates the length and breadth of the country gaining a full knowledge of the UK sporting market. James' real area of expertise is Scotland, where he has fished, shot and stalked on many of the great estates and as such is well placed for advising clients on trips to this part of the world.
Philip Wolstenholme
Shooting Consultant
Philip grew up on his family farm in Hampshire and has been lucky enough to enjoy all manner of field sports from an early age.
Before joining Roxtons in 2019, Philip worked on some of the finest estates in Wales and on Exmoor. During this time he was heavily involved in all aspects of game rearing and shooting, from egg to peg so to speak, with emphasis on efficiency and delivering a quality experience for visiting Guns.He has also run a small private shoot in Hampshire for a number of years and has worked on reserves in Tanzania and Kenya.
Philip is a passionate countryman and when not at work, you’ll find him having a busman’s holiday, with gun or rod in hand.
Rupert Edgedale
Shooting Consultant
Rupert grew up in Oxfordshire and from a young age he has been a passionate countryman enjoying all manners of field sports. Particularly spending holidays off school and more latterly work, shooting and hunting with the VWH.
After graduating from the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester, Rupert has spent time working in farming and hosting days shooting on an estate in Herefordshire.He has also been running a family shoot in Oxfordshire for a number of years and has worked on stations in Australia.
Rupert co-ordinates Roxtons Roving Syndicate Days, as well as shooting trips to South America.
Jess Hornby
UK Shooting Co-ordinator
Jess was lucky enough to grow up in the Mendip Hills in Somerset and she has actively participated in all types of field sports from an early age, hunting with the Mendip Farmers and stalking in the Highlands.
Through many years of helping out on the family shoot Jess has a strong understanding of all elements on a shoot day, from rearing pheasants to beating and also shooting in the line herself, she is therefore fully equipped to provide excellent organisation for all client’s needs.After graduating from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Jess took up the role of UK and Worldwide Shooting Co-ordinator for Roxtons in 2015.
She is now responsible for co-ordinating shoot days in the UK, as well as organising the UK Visitors Shotgun Permits.
Rosie Cowell
Shooting Co-ordinator
Having grown up on a farm and riding before she could walk, Rosie has enjoyed country life, hunting and shooting since a young age.
After graduating from the Royal Agricultural College Rosie worked as a Corporate Events Manager, planning a range of National and International Events, before joining the team at Roxtons.When out of the office Rosie can be found hunting with the VWH or sailing in the Isle of Wight.
Lynsey Mair
Fishing and Shooting Co-ordinator
Lynsey has been with Roxtons for a number of years and has been responsible for fishing administration in numerous locations.one.
Her time at Roxtons has given her a fantastic knowledge of our rivers and lodges. She currently runs the administration for the Yokanga as well as looking after our Scotland and Ireland programmes.Lynsey’s knowledge, attention to detail and experience is second to n
Claire Halliday
Shooting Co-ordinator
Having grown up and lived in Dumfries and Galloway, Claire continues to enjoy this part of the world where she now works remotely.
Claire has spent her career as a PA and Office Manager in education and health settings before joining Roxtons in March 2024. A self confessed organiser she enjoys using her skills to arrange shoot days.In her spare time she enjoys walking her dogs, traditional music and dancing and watching rugby.
