Having just recently returned from a two week visit to Iceland where I visited seven different rivers, I can report that the water levels were good on the west coast after a winter of plentiful snow and a cool and wet summer. It was somewhat of a relief to have left the UK in scorching temperatures and to arrive in Iceland where the temperatures were 14C and overcast. Ideal fishing weather of course!
The Countryside Alliance Foundation is running the Ultimate Fly Fishing Draw to raise funds for their charity, Fishing for Schools.
Fishing for Schools is one of the few projects which goes into schools to help disadvantaged children develop their confidence, education and skills through fishing.

Previously known as the Anglers Conservation Association, Fish Legal is a non-profit organisation that uses the law to protect the water environment, taking action against polluters and regulators that fail to live up to their responsibility.

With recent events we have taken the decision not to run our 2022 season on both the Varzuga and Yokanga in Russia.
This is of course a blow to all of our clients but also to our great friends and partners in Russia who have no influence on worldwide politics.
We can only hope that things change and we can be on the river in 2023 - it has been far too long since we were there and we look forward to a long overdue reunion.
