Unfortunately, we had a very difficult week, which started very well with good weather and excellent fishing.

Midweek, accumulated rainfall combined with a storm in the Andes Mountains caused both the Rio Grande and its main tributaries to experience a surge unlike anything we’d seen in several years.
This completely halted fishing for the rest of the week. Once this type of phenomenon impacts the river, it generally takes two to three days for it to become fishable again.
