Pilolil is a 3rd generation family home that has recently been transformed into a supremely welcoming fishing lodge. Guillermo and Luz Minieri are superb hosts and make their guests feel at home at every turn.
The lodge is only one hour drive from the popular town of San Martin but that hour drive puts off all but the keenest of fishers and so there is every chance that you will see no one else on the river all day – rare for that part of the world.
The trout fishing on the Alumine river is world class and their guide team make every day an exceptional one. Dry flies and nymphs are used to equal effect and the fishing is very visual in utterly stunning surroundings.
The lodge is just six rooms and it feels very personal – we wholeheartedly recommend the experience.
