Chaa Creek is located inland near the town of San Ignacio on a private 365 acre nature reserve set along the banks of the Macal River. Even though the lodge does not offer fishing it works perfectly when you combine it with a trip either before or after at a beach resort where you can fish.
Nestled in the foothills of the Maya Mountains the Lodge is home to a number of exotic jungle dwellers including peccaries, jaguar, monkey and many others as well as over 300 species of tropical and migratory birds.

Chaa Creekâs Cottage collection is tucked away amidst lush tropical gardens along the banks of the Macal River. 23 individually designed thatched cottages charmingly decorated with fine fabrics, furniture and antiques offer spacious accommodation including private sun decks for viewing the wildlife.
Guests can choose from a complete Garden Suite, an Orchard and Spa Villa, Macal Cottage or Tree Top Suite with Jacuzzi for extra comfort. Many of the cottages offer a private walled garden with outdoor shower.
Chaa Creek has one of the best restaurants in Belize and the hilltop spa and airy jungle bar ensure complete relaxation after a day filled with discovery and adventure.
Chaa Creek have a huge array of on-site activities for children and adults and includes a tour of the Natural History Centre and Butterfly Farm, walking the Rainforest Medicine Trail, early morning bird watching and creatures of the night tours.
You can ride one of the many horses through the jungle and past unexcavated ancient Maya sites or perhaps hire a mountain bike and ride through over six miles of maintained jungle trails. You can canoe on the Macal River down to the local town of San Ignacio and back or perhaps just relax next to the infinity swimming pool or have a treatment at the Spa.
