Casting to structure at the foot of the Oman coastline is a challenging and unique way to catch permit. These permit are big, very strong and many fish are lost in the first few seconds after hooking by being taken into the rocks and cut off.
It offers genuine chances to actually land permit as opposed to coming back with the usual hard luck stories although be in no doubt, there will be plenty of them along the way!
Queenfish, mahi-mahi, sailfish and many other species can be targeted making this a superb fishery.
