Charlie White’s Los Roques Venezuela Hosted Trip – Report 2

by Charlie White

Our time on Los Roques continues to be extraordinary – nothing else really sums it up.

We had a team of 10 good friends who took the opportunity to explore everything that this island and fishery has to offer.

Some fished extremely hard and caught an astonishing array of fish – from bonefish to mako sharks to horse eye jacks and pretty much everything in between.

Others focussed on landing their first bonefish, their first tarpon and came agonisingly close to landing their first permit.

Whilst fishing was the primary focus for most, others spent time diving, snorkelling and simply having a gourmet lunch on a deserted island.

We were blessed with the bluest of skies for most of the week and the colours that are on display when the sun it out are hard to believe – were you to film it, you would swear that CGI was to blame.

Divine food and a simply fantastic team of guides and staff make every day memorable and it is hard to think of a better way for a team of mates to spend a week.
