Another season is starting, we had an excellent group to start. Only one of the 6 was a repeater, then we had 3 from America and 2 from the UK.

We started to have takes right away, the fishing was very good.

The strange thing was that the best part of the river was the middle part. We didn’t find many fish in the lower part, usually the best a this time.

The most effective way was intermediate lines with sunray shadow, striping And drifting.

The week before starting the river had risen due to some rains, so we started the week with a river in almost perfect conditions. The first two days may be not so clear.

We landed 70 fish, 6 over 15 pounds.

Top rod of the week had 23 fish on the net. DH got the biggest fish with 19 pounds.

Water Conditions

Water color and visibility: clear.

Water temperature: 8c   to 14c  .

Water level: great level water.

Weather Conditions

Wind speed ranges through the week: the wind was strong, the first 3 days, then we didn’t have much wind, most of the wind blowing from south west .

Air temperature ranges through the week : 4c. to 21c.

Weather observations (sun, rain, fog, etc.):a pleasant week.

Fishing Conditions

Flies that are working the best: Different sizes of sunray shadows, small salmon  flies, nymph ( red tail, emb, prince, red butt, pheasant tail), green machine , for the last hour (intruder, leech, sunray ).

Floating scandi with intermediate o slow sink poly, using sunray, salmon flies, emb, green machine).

Sinking lines with  nymph o streamers, many rubber legs (emb, yukbug,girdlebug)

Fly lines (tips, heads, lengths, densities, etc) that are producing the best: Skagit heads with different lengths of T-17,14, 11, scandi with polyleaders .

We recommend bringing two rods, one to use with scandi and another with skagit lines.

Length and strength of tippet and leaders: 7  to 12  feet. 15 to 20 pounds.

Most of the fish are in middle part of the river.

All very fresh fish.
