The season is progressing well on the Rio Grande and the river is now filling up with sea trout! 128 sea trout were landed to the six rods at La Villa Maria Behety with an impressive average weight of 9.3lbs. 25 were over the 15lb mark and there were 2 over 20lbs.

The water is still low and the water temperature varied between 7-12C. The weather was good and settled this particular week and the most productive fishing method was using floating or intermediate lines with short fast stripping working well. Small flies (salmon flies in sizes 8s and 10s as well as nymphs) worked well as did micro tubes and of course the Sunray Shadow.
