As some of you may have read, a number of Norwegian rivers have been shut due to concerns of the numbers of fish running them.

These include famous names such as Gaula, Orkla and Namsen which is incredibly sad for all concerned.

We do not condone the closures and we were certainly not aware that it was about to be imposed.

However as per our ATOL bonded status, all of our rods who were booked to go to the closed rivers have been refunded or rolled over to next year – regardless of the refunding policies of the various suppliers.

This is when booking with an ATOL bonded company really comes into it’s own and ensures that your money is safe at all times.

We very much hope Norway revisits its decision before too long.
