Roxtons, alongside our sister company Ian Coley Sporting, are delighted to announce that our voluntary levy, which raises 50p per bird during the 2025/26 UK game season, has generated an impressive £57,900 for Eat Wild. This marks an increase on last year’s total of £54,000, further supporting the campaign’s mission to promote British game.
As a thank you to our clients for supporting this cause, Roxtons donated a 200-bird day at the prestigious Badminton Estate in Gloucestershire to be won in a prize draw.
On Wednesday 25th March 2026, Leon Challis-Davies, Culinary Director at Eat Wild, visited the Roxtons offices in Hungerford to randomly draw the lucky winner. We are pleased to announce that the prize has been awarded to a Brian M.
“We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone for their support over the past season, particularly for the Levy donation collected by Roxtons on behalf of Eat Wild,” said Leon Challis-Davies.
“We are pleased to share some exciting developments. Eat Wild was recently invited to an innovation day with one of the UK’s largest contract caterers, where we showcased a range of products including pheasant sausage rolls and pheasant pies, designed for hospitality settings such as stadiums and event spaces.
In addition, we have been in discussions with a major pub chain regarding upcoming menu changes. With over 200 sites nationwide, there is strong potential for dishes such as pheasant sausage and mash to appear on menus in the near future.
We continue to engage daily with contract caterers, and as the stadium season draws to a close, the events season is just beginning. At Cheltenham alone, an impressive 7,000 portions of venison were served, highlighting the growing demand for wild and sustainable food options as venison is that great gateway to opening up to feathered wild meat.
As you travel this event season, do keep an eye out—you may well be pleasantly surprised by what you find.
Thank you once again for your continued support.”
As the 2026/27 season approaches, Roxtons will continue to encourage our clients to participate in the voluntary levy to support the Eat Wild campaign. Participants will once again have the opportunity to win a day at Badminton, with the prize draw taking place at the end of the season.
